Studio Information and Policies
Studio Hours: Tuesday ~ Friday, 11:00 am – 7:30 pm
Cancellations: 24 hours in advance of lessons
General Studio Policies
- Payment for lessons should be made at the first lesson of each
month. Accepted methods of payments are checks and cash. Credit
cards are not accepted.
- Lessons are to begin and end at designated times. Students who
are late cannot expect to have anymore than the remaining time for
their lesson. Therefore, it is a good idea to arrive five minutes
early.
- A 55-minute lesson is reserved for each student and regular
attendance is very important. Make-up lessons are only available
should the instructor need to cancel, or if the studio receives 24
hours notice for illness or emergency. Make-up lessons are given
during the week when time is available. (If a lesson is not
cancelled with 24 hours notice, the student will be charged for the
lesson.)
- Should you move away or discontinue lessons, a 2-week
notification would be appreciated.
- Communication should be handled in person, in writing, or with a
phone call. Please do not cancel a lesson via email.
- The studio is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Instruction and Classes
At the Sacco-Belli Studio, we take pride in helping each student
achieve his or her vocal best. An evaluation lesson determines
the student's voice type (soprano, alto, tenor, bass), and
professional suggestions are given for the individual student's
continued vocal development. All students are initially trained
in the Bel Canto technique.
Lessons are recorded to allow for
immediate feedback and review. Students also receive practice tapes of vocal exercises (from beginning to advanced), as well
as written text which covers fundamental voice concepts and
techniques.
Recitals are not mandatory but highly encouraged. There is a
minimum of a two concerts per year. Individual private recitals
can be arranged as well. Also, additional lessons in preparation
for auditions, recitals, or competitions may be scheduled
separately with the instructor.
A Certificate of Merit Program is available to all students over
ten years of age through high school. High school credit is also
available for students enrolled in public schools. Up to five
units can be rewarded per semester. Additional information is
available through the Music Teachers Association.
